Website Accessibility Statement

We want every patient, regardless of ability, to use our website with ease. Here is how we approach digital accessibility and how to reach us with concerns.

Our Commitment

Gentle Smiles of Raleigh wants our website to be usable by everyone who visits it, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. We believe that information about dental care, our team, and how to reach our Raleigh office should be easy to find and easy to read, no matter how you access it.

This is an ongoing effort. We review our site periodically, make corrections when we find problems, and welcome feedback from patients and visitors who run into something that does not work the way it should.

The Standard We Follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is the standard most widely recognized for making web content accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.

WCAG 2.1 AA is not a one-time checklist we complete and forget about. It shapes decisions we make about layout, color choices, and how new pages get built going forward.

Measures We Have Taken

A number of practical steps go into making our website more accessible. These include:

Known Limitations

No website is perfect, and we want to be honest about that. Some older pages, embedded third-party tools such as our online scheduling widget or map, or PDF documents may not fully meet every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion yet.

If you come across any part of our site that is difficult to use with assistive technology, please let us know using the contact information below. We will work to fix the issue or provide the information you need in another format.

Reporting a Problem or Getting Help

If you have trouble accessing any part of this website, or if you need information in an alternate format, please reach out to our Raleigh office. We are glad to assist over the phone, help you find what you need, or arrange another way to get you the information.

When you contact us about an accessibility concern, please include the web page you were visiting and a description of the problem you ran into. This helps us find and correct the issue as quickly as possible.

This statement was last reviewed recently as part of our ongoing effort to keep our website usable for every patient. Updated versions will appear on this page.
